History
Port Contractors Management, LLC traces its roots back to the early 1970’s when the company began stevedoring operations in the Port of Wilmington. In 1984, Port Contractors grew out of the original operating company and began acquiring land around the Port, with a focus on handling bulk cargoes through the Port of Wilmington.
The company expanded the Port of Wilmington’s bulk, breakbulk and project cargo handling capabilities with the acquisition and development of land, rail sidings and warehouses adjacent to the Port and the acquisition of specialized equipment to service these new markets on the Delaware River.
In the new millennium, Port Contractors expanded into new ports and markets along the East and Gulf Coasts providing stevedoring and terminal services. From our niche container and breakbulk services in Wilmington DE, to our cruise, project cargo, and yacht services in Palm Beach, FL, Port Contractors remains committed to providing customized solutions to meet our customer’s demands.
